About Us

Established in 1938 by the late Eric Collyer. His son Brian Collyer now owns and runs the nursery situated in Borrowash, Derby. The nursery has grown from small beginnings, growing vegetable plants during the war to an established nursery and garden centre. The nursery moved premises in 1994 to our current much bigger, two-acre site. We now have eight greenhouses and a large shrub sales area, hosting a sizeable variety of shrubs, trees, alpines and herbaceous perennials.Each green house is categorized into specific groups, i.e. shade loving plants and evergreens, along with the Japanese maple house and climbing plant house, hopefully making it easy to find the type of plant you are looking for.

We also have two poly tunnels designated for products including ornaments, furniture, tools and hard landscaping. The business is one that is always evolving and we are always on the look out for new species and varieties of plants that will make your garden look beautiful.
